In order to carry out research activities on the themes adopted by the Centre related to heritage, and looks forward to collaborations with other national and international institutes as well as individual scholars in the formulation of heritage programmes.


Centre for Heritage Studies established under the University of Kelaniya on 2017 as restructured the former Centre for Asian Studies of Faculty of Social Sciences. Especially, Centre for Heritage Studies organizing International Conferences, seminars and workshops on heritage, conducting researches on heritage, maintaining a database on heritage, and organizing awareness programmes on heritage.
