  1. To unite the ibaloy tribe where ever they are domiciled or residing to perpetuate the cultural customs, traditions and language of their ibaloy ancestors.
  2.  To educate the younger members of the association regarding the history of the ibaloys as well as the ibaloy customs , traditions and languages
  3. To foster love, fellowship and cooperation among the members of the association, as well as non-member ibaloy in their communities
  4. To provide mutual assistance to the sick, elderly and indigent fellow ibaloys.

Onjon ni Ivadoy Association Incorporated is an organization of the Ibaloy indigenous peoples of Baguio City and Benguet province.

After series of informal and formal meetings of the ibaloy leaders and interested parties in and around Baguio City, Onjon ni Ivadoy Association was organized in 2009 and registered as a non-stock non-profit organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January. 14, 2011.The incorporators include Ibaloy men and women who distinguished themselves their vocation as farmers, teachers, government officers, business people, professionals, private individuals and the youth. As a legitimate association the Onjon Ni Ivadoy has updated organizational and financial reports with the SEC and BIR.

As a result of our continuous and persistent struggle as native of Baguio city the Baguio City Council adopted Resolution no. 395 declaring February 23 of every year as Ibaloy day which was institutionalize by virtue of an Ordinance no. 09 series of 2013.

In addition, as per Resolution no. 182 the Baguio City Council designated a portion of Burnham park as an ibaloy heritage garden. This is use as the venue for all the activities of the association.

At present, the organization has membership of more than 10,000 from Baguio City, Province of Benguet and nearby Provinces in the Cordillera Region and the Ibaloys who are presently working abroad.

Major Activities

Showcases Ibaloy culture , beliefs and traditions through the following:

  • Participates in the Annual tree planting every June 12
  • Participates in the Baguio Day every September 1st
  • Participates in the Adivay Day/Benguet Foundation Day
  • Every November 23rd
  • Participates in the following festivals: Gong Festival, Dayaw Festival and whenever invited

Social obligation:

  •  Encourage members to lend a hand to those who are in need. This also includes visiting the sick, attending to wakes and sourcing out funds for the for medical needs of indigent members’


  • Coordinates with local government units, national agencies and non-government Organization for support to the organizations’ projects

In order that the youth of today will not forget the Benguet culture, beliefs and traditions the organization:

  • Supports Girl Scouts of the Philippines Benguet by teaching the girls how to play gongs and drums and how to dance the Benguet dance.
  •  Shares/teaches the Ibaloy dialect to the youths.
